What is OpenSocial?

OpenSocial is a set of common application programming interfaces for web-based social network applications, developed by Google, and released November 1, 2007. What is possible with the OpenSocial RESTful API

Here are some of the things you can do with the People and Friends data API:

  • Get a structured version of a user's profile in an OpenSocial service.
  • Get a list of a user's friends in an OpenSocial service.
